Skoda Octavia Estate 1.0 TSI - Is it any good?

I want to buy a Skoda Octavia Estate 1.2 TSI. However, I have just discovered that the 1.2 TSI petrol engine has been replaced by a 1.0 TSI. Is this new engine any good?

There have been favourable reports of the engine in smaller cars, but, as with the Mondeo, however good a 1.0 litre engine is, I don't think its enough for a big, solid car the size of an Octavia estate. The best of these small four-cylinder engines is the 1.2 Puretech 130 because it has more torque (230Nm), is sporty to drive and is also very economical - all at the same time.
