Buying a used car - how can I tax it?
I am buying a used car and will need to tax it to drive home. Will the online taxing system work if I have only notified my insurer by phone a few minutes before that I have changed my vehicle? Surely there will be be a time lag before notifying the insurer and the new details appearing on the motor insurance database?

Apparently, insurance is no longer checked as part of the process when taxing a car. Obviously the car will need to be insured to be driven on the road, though. www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-2520649/N...l
