Surname spent incorrectly on PCN - Can I use this as the basis of an appeal?

I have just received a PCN for mistakenly driving in a bus lane whilst visiting a city. I have read the guidelines, watched the CCTV and I don't think I can get out of it.

However, my surname on the PCN is spelt incorrectly - can I use this as the basis of an appeal, should I ask them to re-issue the PCN under the correct name in the hope that they won't bother pursuing, or should I just pay up?
