Automatic SUV for town driving - what do you suggest?

I would like to buy an automatic SUV mainly for town driving and have a low mileage and looking for good reliability. I was thinking of Honda CR-V petrol automatic 2012, but in your website review, it says 'five speed auto best avoided. My budged is around 10 - 15K. Is that CR-V auto okay and do you suggest any alternative?

The warning is because the 2.0 i-VTEC doesn't have a lot of power to pull a heavy car and the 5-speed auto constantly (and irritatingly) changes gear. Better a Toyota RAV-4 2.0 Valvematic Multidrive S, though don't expect brilliant mpg from either of these: about 25mpg about town. The CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC 160 with the 9-speed auto works better. No feedback on DPF problems yet.
