Great Volkswagen customer service

My wife has a Volkswagen Golf 1.4 which recently developed a fault. The EPC and catalytic converter warning lights came on. We booked the car in to Peter Cooper in Chichester and was told that they would test it to determine where the fault lay. I received a phone call to say that it required a new throttle pedal module, the total cost of which would be £490 including £100 for the diagnostic test. I was horrified and asked whether anything could be done to reduce the cost. The car is less than 5 years old with a total of 24,000 miles and had been regularly serviced by Peter Cooper. The service agent said they would find out whether Volkswagen would make a goodwill contribution. This was on the Friday afternoon. First thing on Monday morning we received a call to say that Volkswagen would cover the total cost. Wow, wonderful service.

Good news. Volkswagen now has to do all it can to keep its loyal customers.

Comfortable and quiet on the move, enjoyable to drive. Nicely trimmed with great attention to detail. 1.4 TSI sweeter to drive than a diesel.
