Mazda6 warped brake discs
Having read your review on the new Mazda 6 SkyActive, I bought one a year ago second hand with 3000 miles on the clock from a dealer. I have been happy with it until recently where I noticed steering wheel judder when braking from 70mph.
I also had an issue with both the rear door seals ripping out of the retaining clips on the doors because the rubber sticks to the frame in the heat.
The Mazda dealer investigated both issues and whilst they will put my case to Mazda on the door trim (although not guaranteed it will be covered under warranty, they have informed me that the brake discs are warped and need replacing which is not covered under warranty as it is considered a consumable item. However the car has only done 12,000 miles which were mostly motorway!
Having owned a BMW 3 series for 7 years (90,000 miles) and a 14 year old Vauxhall Astra (120,000 miles) neither which have had brake discs replaced.
Surely something is up with Mazda's design or quality of brakes? Is there anything I can do to convince Mazda to replace them FOC?

I took 'my' Mazda 6 Skyactiv 2.2 150D auto from 500 miles to 15,000 miles over the course of a year with no such problems. (In fact, no problems apart from the early recall, a woman crashing into the back of it, and a puncture that cost me £256). No hint of the braking problem that could be caused by braking into roundabouts from high speed, then sitting on the brakes. No one else has reported this. If there is still plenty of meat on the discs (which there should be at 12,000 miles) the answer is to get them skimmed in situ on the car. You should not need to replace them. But you have found a problem with the rear door seals. I'll note that and Mazda should fix it.
