Toyota Prius brake repair

My daughter and son in law have a 5 year old Toyota Prius which they bought 3 years ago. They have just been quoted £2700 to repair a brake actuator problem. Apparently it should last a lifetime. Is there anything you can suggest?

Get in touch with www.ecutesting.com/ I haven't heard of this problem before on Prius, but if it has an ATE Teves Mk 60 ABS/ESP module, or even some other type, there is probably a fix of the brake pressure sensor that does not require a replacement of the full module.
