My Saab 9-5 has started to run very rough - what's wrong with it?
I have an '04 plate Saab 95 2.2 turbo diesel that has started to run very rough. It has 55,000 miles on the clock and was serviced at 50,000. It starts without any problem and runs well until it gets up to temperature, then it runs very rough, blows too much smoke and is using too much fuel (down from av. 45 mpg to 38 mpg). When running, it accelerates ok, but when it is held on a steady throttle you can feel the engine hunting, and it blows a lot of smoke. Can anyone help me?

Probably the turbo oil seals or valve stem oil seals. If you bought it used it might have done a lot more than the 55,000 miles on the clock. Less than 10,000 miles a year is not many miles for a diesel.
