Waiting 3 months for a new car - can I cancel?

Can you tell me what happens if I cancel an order on a new car? I have been waiting three months for delivery and to be honest I've lost interest. I am quite prepared to lose my £500 deposit, but am I legally obliged to take delivery having signed up to their terms and conditions?

Strictly speaking, you have entered into a contract and the terms of the contract may or may not be enforceable depending on whether or not a court rules that they are "reasonable". A three month delay may not be deemed reasonable. You need to talk to the dealer.
