Low-mileage Land Rovers - are they worth the money?

We live three miles up a badly potholed forest road. We have concluded that our most important criterion for short journeys (40 miles) is robust simple suspension, so we are considering an old Land Rover - pre-air-suspension etc.

We have seen advertised a 1993 Defender 90 diesel but it has only done 29,000 miles. What particular problems might there be with such a low mileage vehicle? It is offered for £6000.

This is a 21 year old vehicle so will have problems anyway, not merely those related to a relatively low mileaqe for the year. Be very cautious about paying a premium price for low mileage on a car like this.
