What's the best car for a driving instructor?

My wife is a driving instructor and is considering replacing her three year old Toyota Yaris (petrol). Most driving instructors appear to use diesel cars but with the inevitable short journeys and stop/starts she is not sure if this is the correct way to go. Should she stay with a petrol model and which car would you recommend for a driving school?

Stick with small engine petrol. The new model Aygo might be a good idea. Looks a lot better in orange: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/toyota/aygo-2014/

Plenty of kit as standard. Quirky looks. Very reliable.
