Can my Ford Fiesta's creaky bonnet be easily fixed?

I think I have found source of the creaking rattle noise heard in the cabin of my 2009 Ford Focus 1.6 'Style'. On the outside of the car, when very lightly pressing down on the bonnet with my fingers on the outer side edges and front edge of the bonnet, the panelwork easily flexes and in doing so recreates the creaking noise heard in the cabin. Looking underneath the bonnet there are two rubber bushes, each about two inches long, attached to the front of the bonnet, and they appear to be the only point of contact with the body of the car when the bonnet is closed. There are no other rubber strips, bushes, insulation, to provide further points of contact for the closed bonnet to close onto. No doubt this is the problem, ie: the whole of the bonnet is not being firmly held down, and therefore moves and creaks whilst the car is in motion. Presumably this can be fixed?

It never bothered me over 14 months with a 1.6 ECOnetic. But I guess if you want to add more rubber you could experiment.
