Which child-friendly car to replace our stolen Audi Sportline?
While my wife was in labour we were talking about how much she loves her Audi (just to take her mind of things). It’s a 2006 TDI Sportline with beautiful wheels and great extras, 70,000 miles. While we were still in hospital I received a call from the Surrey police to tell me our house had been broken into and the car stolen. We want to replace like for like, but the insurance money won't cover it. So what can we get? I think the 1.4 TFSI is a better bet with her low mileage, but the TDI was a sweet car. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

There's been a bit of trouble with the chain cam 1.4TFSI, so you'd be better off with the new belt cam EA211 1.4TFSI. But for lifting the baby/toddler in and out you need a 5-door, not a 3-door, and a taller MPV will be safer for your backs than a hatchback.
