Please recommend a medium petrol estate car for social and part-time work?

We are changing out of a 2003 Volkswagen Polo (used mainly for commuting) and a 2006 white plumber's van, both diesel. As the commuter has retired and the plumber is semi-retired, we would like a medium sized, petrol estate car as a social / part-time work vehicle. The Ford Focus estate is a possibility, but please do you have any other suggestions? We find the Mondeo too big and the Honda Jazz a bit small. We want to spend around £8,000-£10,000

A new Dacia Logan MCV: honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/dacia/logan-mcv-2013/, preferably with the TCe90 petrol engine, from £6,995 with a 1.2 75PS petrol engine, from £8,395 with the TCe90 petrol engine and from £9,395 with the 1.5dCI 90 diesel engine.

As good as the hatchback. Great to drive and very refined. Upmarket and comfortable interior. Usefully large boot. The best looking estate this size.
Impressive value for a new car, cheap to run, easy to drive.
