Like JN of Midhurst, I too was caught doing 35mph in a 30 zone. First time in 60 years of blameless motoring, so I was cross. I took the speed awareness course, which cost me £90. However, my new Jazz has two speed alert signals built in. I have set one at 30mph (for urban driving) and one at 65mph (for motorways). It's a great small car, well equipped but I wish it had a digital speedometer. The analogue one marks 20 mph and 40mph clearly but not the important 30mph.
