Buying a small SUV - which is best?

I am hoping to buy my wife a small four-wheel drive car. We live in the country and she works at a local village school, which is located six miles from where we live. What car would you recommend I buy?

Peugeot 2008 1.6 petrol with 'Grip Control'. Being a petrol, it won't have any DPF issues and the grip control system should cope with the UK's winter weather.
