Is my car overheating?
Last night the temperature gauge on my nine year old Volkswagen Golf failed. The problem corrected itself after 10 miles, but I’m worried there might be a serious problem. Can you help?

You would know if the engine was overheating. The problem might be a 'lazy' thermostat or a failing temp sensor/sender switch that switches on the radiator fans when needed.
