Warning lights when the car isn't started?
I've never owned a Volkswagen before so not sure how they work but I noticed yesterday when I put my key in the ignition in position 2, I was just listening to the stereo and noticed two yellow symbols an engine symbol and battery. When I tur my key to position 2 all lights show but then disappear apart from the two I've just mentioned. When I start the car no lights show. Is this something to be worried about and should this be doing that.

Basically, to save energy and improve fuel economy, modern cars only charge the battery as much as necessary for the car to function. You are not supposed to sit in them stationary with the engine off and the radio on.
