Can you recommend a car with easy access for elderly relatives?
My wife and I are looking after elderly relatives and now have to provide transport for them. They struggle to get into our cars so my much loved 2007 Subaru Legacy looks like it will have to be replaced with something with easier access (the Subaru is too low). I have been looking at the Volkswagen Touran and Mazda 5. We need something that is easy to get in and out of for the less mobile, but also has room for my tools and boat bits when working on my boat. The Subaru mainly does local journeys with occasional trips to the South of France. Any suggestions? Also should we avoid diesel? We have around £11,000 to spend plus the Subaru.

If you can somehow find a Mazda 5 1.6d TS2 within budget, that would be great. It's a surprisingly good car to drive. And has fantastic bump absorption, even mid corner.
