Can you recommend a hire car that will take two passengers and large bicycle boxes?

Four of us are flying to Spain for a cycling weekend and are taking our bikes in rigid bike boxes measuring 105cm x 90cm x 30cm (see: www.bikeboxalan.co.uk). I've looked into hiring a Mercedes-Benz Vito to squeeze us all in with the boxes, but the prices are extortionate (approx. £550 for Wednesday very late night to Sunday evening). I was thinking that it could be cheaper to hire two medium sized cars instead. What is the smallest car that has enough boot space with the rear seats folded down that could accommodate two passengers, two bike boxes and two small cabin bags/rucksacks?

Citroen Berlingo Multispace or Renault Kangoo LWB combi. You might be able to get all of you + the bike boxes into one of them, especially if you can find a LWB Kangoo, like this one: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/renault/renault-ka.../
