Can you recommend tyres for my Focus which offer a softer ride?

Currently I am driving a 2007 Ford Focus with Continental Sport Contact 2 205/50 R17 93W tyres. Can you please recommend an alternative tyre that would give a softer ride?

You should change to 16-inch wheels with 205/55 R16 tyres, or change to 15-inch wheels with 195/65 R15 tyres. There is nothing you can do with your existing wheels to improve the ride.
