Is an updated RAV4 due?

My wife and I are considering buying a Toyota RAV4 to replace our current Honda Civic, but the current model is a bit long in the tooth. Please do you know if Toyota is to replace it in the near future? We want an automatic petrol vehicle as we only do about 3000 miles a year these days and it cannot be too large, especially on width, because of garage restrictions.

Logically a replacement is overdue because there will be a new CR-V later this year and the current CR-V came along more than a year after the RAV. But Toyota offers an excellent combination of 2.0i Valvematic engine and Multidrive S CVT automatic transmission that is actually more economical and lower CO2 than the RAV4 diesel automatic for £2200 less.
