Upsizing from a Focus - to what?

I currently have an 08 Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI. I'm looking for a bigger car due to a new family arrival.

I have seen a beautiful 2009 Mazda6 Tamura 2.0 petrol. Is there much difference in cabin space and also boot room between the 2 cars? Also, what is your opinion on the Mazda?

I'm driving a new Mazda 6 Skyactiv 2.2d 150 SE-L Nav auto. Fantastic. But check the wheels of the car you are buying. If they are 18" with 40 profile tyres you will end up spending a fortune on tyres.
