Warranty Hire Car - I've been stung for a new tyre due to a nail!

My Freelander went in for a warranty repair through Landrover Assist. I was given a hire car from a major hire firm (Enterprise) arranged by Land Rover. I've now been contacted by the hire company to say I'm being charged through my credit card, details I gave on hire, for a new tyre due to nail damage.

Do I have any realistic course of action?

They cannot prove that the tyre picked up the nail during your tenure of it. Tell them that if they do this you will sue them using the small claims track of the county court.
