Is the new Kia Rio a good idea?

Is this car worth considering if I drive approx 8000 miles annually and are the usual servicing requirements needed? ie cam belt particulate filter and perhaps other expensive service items that come with diesel engines?

It has a timing chain engine. No reports of DPF problems so far, but the first 1.1CRDIs imported to the UK did not actually have DPFs because the engine met EU5 without one.
