I bought a car but have since found out it has been clocked?

I bought my Audi A3 TDI from a garage in January 2012 and paid in cash. I got pulled over by the police who informed me that I wasn't the registered keeper, I rang up DVLA who confirmed it was registered to a female (I'm male), I had to produce documents to show I owned the car but when I produced my receipt I noticed that the mileage in January was 17 miles less than when it had been MoT'd in October at a garage 262 miles from where I bought the car. I was promised service history but this has never appeared. I've now owned the car for just short of my 3 month warranty and since finding all this out I feel that I've been severly misled. Where do I stand on returning on the car?

Talk to Trading Standards about prosecuting the garage, or holding the threat of prosecution against it in order to get your money back.
