Can you suggest a replacement for my Honda Jazz which offers better protection than a Toyota IQ?

I am thinking of changing my Honda Jazz for a Toyota IQ. I change my car every few years and my greatest joy was a Toyota Yaris Verso, alas no longer in production. The Toyota dealer here says a new version of this is coming soon. Do you know if this similar to the original version? I found the IQ a super little car but a friend pointed out that it didn't give enough protection. What would you advise for a 73-year-old lady who enjoys driving (both sides of the Channel) and needs a car with good vision?

The new Toyota Verso S (spiritual successor to the Postman Pat Yaris Verso) is tested here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/toyota/toyota-vers...s.

I don't know what your friend was on about. Had the IQ not been designed with crumple zones it could have been a lot shorter. As it is, it has a 5 Star Euro NCAP rating: www.euroncap.com/results/toyota/iq.aspx. For visibility, both the KIA Venga and Hyundai ix20 are exceptionally good.
