Do you have an opinion on the CVT automatic gearbox used in the Nissan Juke?

I took your advice some time ago and purchased a Hyundai i10, and have since upgraded to the i20. Both cars I have been very pleased with. I am thinking about changing my i20 for a Nissan Juke with CVT auto. Are there any problems with the CVT drive? A few years ago I purchased a Toyota Yaris with Multi-Mode drive and it was awful. I know the Multi-Mode is an automatic clutch. Have you had a chance to drive the new Hyundai ix20 yet? If so, any opinion on it?

Multi Mode is automated manual, not CVT. The Toyota IQ, Avensis, RAV4 and Verso petrol models are all now offered with CVT autos and there have been no reports of any problems. Nissan is also hugely experienced with CVTs, using them in the K11 Micra, Primera, petrol Qashqai, Murano, new K13 Micra and the Juke. Unfortunately, there is a world shortage of CVTs fore Qashqais and Jukes and Nissan is only now taking orders for the top spec Juke 1.6 DiG-T 4x4a Tekna model. The Hyundai ix20 is a repackaged KIA Venga with a 4-speed torque converter automatic.
