Will Trading Standards help with the failure of our Ford C-Max's automatic gearbox?
My husband contacted you a few weeks ago regarding the failure of the automatic gearbox of our Ford C-Max 1.6TDCI CVT with only 20,731 miles on the clock. I am unwilling to let the matter go and have written to Ford and Trading Standards.

It's a common issue because the transmission fitted is only designed to handle up to 230Nm torque and the engine develops 240Nm torque at 1,750rpm, and engine speed it runs close to most of the timed. But the car is now a relatively old model, dropped from the Ford line-up. More at www.cmaxownersclub.co.uk .
