What's the most comfortable performance saloon or coupe?

What would you recommend as the most comfortable performance saloon/coupe? I've had BMW M cars and Audi RS. Now I'm considering an older Alpina - B3S, for example. Thanks.

Alpinas are great but they often have expensive parts that are hard to get hold of so be wary of that. AMG Mercedes models are often seen as the better road going performance saloons – not as quick as a BMW M on track but more comfortable, as well as being more engaging than Audi RS models.
