My soft-top roof has been closed for a while. Do you have any advice on opening it without damaging it?

Are there any guidelines/advice on what to do to check a soft-top roof that's been closed for a few (four) years, apart from being careful? What should I do before putting it up fully? Thank you so much.

Just be careful with it and don't force it. Put it partway up and leave it for a while if it feels strained. It's probably worth waiting for a hot day or taking the car for a drive and getting the interior up to temperature first. The material is usually more flexible when warm.
