My new car didn't come with a service book. Is this normal?

I’ve just bought an ex-demo Ford Puma and there’s no service book. The dealer says it’s all on the Ford database and they don’t come with them anymore. Is this correct?

This is becoming increasingly common, as service histories are digitalised. That's why it's more important than ever before to keep a history file for the car with all of the relevant receipts and prints outs. The dealer should be able to provide an itemised job sheet for the car's service, which you can keep.
