Fuels and their money

My 5-year-old Rover 75 Connoisseur SE CDTi diesel has covered 29,000 miles and will average 48 miles per gallon on a long run dropping to 43 on short runs. My independent garage has recommended Shell V Power to improve fuel consumption and reduce engine wear. Do you consider the extra cost of V-Power is worth it? I will probably keep this car for about 3 years and average 10,000 miles a year.

My recommendation is BP Ultimate DIESEL. Shell V-Power PETROL. I don’t recommend V-Power diesel over BP Ultimate diesel, but I do recommend Shell V-Power petrol over any other petrol.
