Which hybrid is better, the Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4?

I want to buy a hybrid SUV and have whittled the choices down to a Honda CR-V hybrid or Toyota RAV4. Honda is new to hybrid technology while Toyota has been making hybrid vehicles since 1995, so it's more experienced in this field. I don’t know which is the better automatic transmission either. In my opinion, The Honda CR-V is much better looking than the Toyota RAV4 but Honda gives only three years' warranty on all its vehicles. Toyota offers five. Both cars are expensive to buy and I’m afraid to make the wrong choice. Please help.

We rate both the CR-V and RAV4 hybrids highly - you won't go wrong with either. Honda has more experience with hybrids than you may think (it launched the hybrid Insight in 2000), but Toyota's long warranty and almost faultless reliability record would probably steer us towards the RAV4. Choose whichever one appeals to you most, though, both brands have a really good reputation.
