Should I declare a hardwired dashcam as a modification to my insurer?
We have a dashcam hardwired into our car from new. Should this be declared as a modification to the vehicle?

Personally, I would be saying nothing. However, always declare everything and never give an opportunity for an insurer to not pay in the event of a claim. One wire from a fuse box to a dashcam is not a modification in my book, as it is very easy to install and remove. It is certainly not something as an engineer we would pick up on if we inspected your vehicle, or suggest a repudiation of a claim if we did.
