DPF problems on VW Golf 1.6 TDI

I am thinking of buying a new Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI. The problem is I do very low mileage (approx. 5000 miles per year). One Volkswagen salesman told me I wouldn't have problems with the DPF and the DMF but another said I would.

Who do I believe? Are there problems with Volkswagen diesels and low mileage?

Don't buy a diesel. Buy a 1.2 TSI 105 or a 1.4 TSI 122 instead.
