What cars are the best for a torque converter automatic?

Based on my experiences with the Volkswagen DSG I want a proper old-school torque converter automatic. What do you suggest?

Mazda has a 6-speed torque converter automatic while Peugeot/Citroen now fit EAT6 and EAT8 torque converter autos and they are excellent. BMW rear drive models and Mercedes rear drive models are all torque converter auto.
