What are the best cars for filtering fumes for asthma suffers?

My wife has asthma and exhaust fumes are a real problem, especially in traffic jams. What are the best cars for filtering fumes or preventing them from getting into the cabin?

It's really a matter of regularly replacing the pollen filter (every six months). Just about every car has an air-recirculate switch that does not admit air from outside.
