Does the air conditioning need servicing on a two-year-old car?

I have received a round robin letter from my Nissan dealer informing me that my Qashqai needs an air con service at a cost of £149 as dry seals may result in leaks and bacteria entering the interior. The car is two years and six months old. From new I have used the air con for at least 10 minutes every journey and, in hot or cold weather, it is on permanently. I am not aware of leaks, smells or reduced performance. Do I need to have it serviced?

The problem is that after an EU Directive most new car a/c systems are filled with an expensive new gas called R1234YF that is flammable and more prone to leaking than the much cheaper R134a that car a/c systems used to be filled with.
