Good: A revelation on the road with superb handling, stunning looks, lovely interior, great value.
Bad: Lower powered 156bhp version of 1.6-litre THP engine lacks zest.

Good: Good looks. Good performance from chain cam 2.0 TSI engine. Also available with frugal TDI diesel. Very enjoyable and rewarding to drive. Can happily accommodate four.
Bad: Poor rear visibility. Very firm ride especially with larger wheels.

Good: Best looking model in Audi range. quattros enjoyable and sharp to drive. Large boot. 2.0 TDI is punchy but economical.
Bad: Rear seat not as roomy or as comfortable as a 3 Series Coupe. Options can add up to thousands and make used examples difficult to price.

Good: Well built, attractively styled, available with low emission diesel engines, enjoyable to drive, entry-level C180 model is surprisingly good.
Bad: It's not as sporty as you might think, looks very similar to the saloon.

Bad: More of a grand tourer than a sports car.

Good: Good-looking coupe that's packed with kit. Drives well, particularly the V6 model. All offer keen value. Many will still be covered by a five-year war
Bad: Snobs need not apply. Many other coupes offer a sharper drive. Isolated rear brake pipe corrosion on 2002-2003 cars.

Good: Luxurious high performance sports car, sublime engines, top quality interior, sophisticated image, good level of standard equipment includes sat nav.
Bad: Rear seats are virtually pointless apart from use as extra luggage space.

Good: Good looking sporty alternative to the standard 1 Series, super quick 135i, strong and efficient diesels.
Bad: Tight in the back for taller passengers.

Good: Elegant styling, high quality and plush interior, very well equipped as standard, refined 3.7-litre V6 engine.
Bad: No diesel and only one petrol engine in the line-up, doesn't yet hold the same status as a BMW or Audi.
