Search results for I have two Tiguans both with the 2.0 litre diesel engine. The software upgrade has just been carried out on both and now there is a "pinking" noise from both engines. I have taken the cars back to the dealer and he contacted VW who said "there had been a few isolated problems" and they were working on a fix. This was a month ago and meanwhile I am left with two unsaleable vehicles that sound like a bag of nails. Has anyone else exrperienced an "isolated" problem such as this? Meanwhile my advice would be to not go for the upgrade.
