Overall reliability

Very hard to find a fault with this car.

We all look for different things from cars. I'm an active bloke in his early 70s with an annual mileage of under 10,000 and this includes trips to the south of France and running the grand children around.

I asked for a test drive in a 1.4 but they didn't have one ready so it was in a 1.2 that this sceptical driver set off and I was amazed at the zippiness of the motor. So pleased that when my wife had chosen the colour we ordered one on the basis of that test and a very good negotiated deal.

Approaching 17,000 miles now with not a problem and an overall mpg of 50.2 I am still impressed and to see over 55 mpg on a run down the French motorways is very impressive. Incidentally the mpg from the on-board computer is very similar to my spreadsheet figures after every fill.

The only minor gripe, and this applies to most cars, is the cost of keeping the mapping for the built in satnav up to date.

Would I buy another? Yes, without hesitation.
