Fantastic value for money!

I got my new Seat Ibiza ST E-Ecomotive a month ago and it’s brilliant, my fuel bill has halved over night! My previous car was a Mini Cooper (2008) and I wanted more room, cheap running costs and a much lower fuel bill. I’ve only had the car a month but so far it’s superb with early 60’s easy to achieve and on long runs I’m getting mid 70’s to the gallon.

Years ago I had a 1.4 TDI Polo and this engine is just like it, loads of torque and eager to be revved. The main difference though is how much quieter this engine is, my old Polo I could hear the engine all the time but now I only hear a growl when moving away from stationary. It took nearly 5k for the old 1.4 TDI to bed in and get smoother, so I’m expecting the 1.2 TDI to just keep getting better.

The Seat isn’t finished quite as well as my Polo was, but then again this car is nearly £3,000
cheaper than the equivalent Polo Bluemotion, and that’s not in an estate form. Now compared to the Mini, with the Clubman being the equivalent this little Seat is a whole £7,000 cheaper (spec for spec). For the price you can’t fault it! Yes the plastics are harder but it’s very comfortable and will wear really well.

Overall I’m very impressed and happy, especially with the mpg and costs. It’s not as refined as the Mini or made quite as well as the Polo tank, but for the price it’s superb!
