Overall reliability

A fast, comfortable reliable car with excellent handling and driver enjoyment

I bought this car new in 2006 and it has been 100% reliable only having been to the garage once a year for annual servicing. There have been no mechanical faults requiring rectification and no trim has dropped off. As a driver experience the car is hard to fault apart from a harsh ride over bad surfaces. The power delivery is smooth with turbo lag almost non existent. I have only ever run the car on V Power fuel and 32 MPG is achievable on level long runs. I mostly run it in hilly conditions where 26 MPG is the average. Road tax is expensive. That said, fuel economy and road tax are known quantities before you buy - not surprises. What else can you buy for this sort of money that gives 150 MPH with excellent handling? There is very little torque steer compared to some other high performance front drive hatches.

Dealer Servicing costs have been very reasonable (less than our Hyundai Getz) and insurance costs less than previous Lexus. The only recommendation the dealer made at the last service was to change the tyre repair gel as the shelf life has been reached. I cannot find any good reason to change this car.
