Good car, good value!

The Logan replaced our elderly Mercedes CLK and after 5 months in the Dacia I haven't missed the Merc once! It's a great little car, which feels like a little hatchback that you can chuck about, but also has a great big boot as well. The handling reminds me of my mark 1 Fiat Panda 750, except with lots more grip and power! Whilst it leans in corners the grip is good and understeer very difficult to provoke. The suspension can sometimes be a bit bouncy (better with a full load) but more importantly it's comfortable but avoids vague steering- it's good to throw around country lanes!

The tiny engine is excellent, it pulls strongly from low revs, is quiet, especially at motorway speeds and feels like an engine twice its capacity. I'm getting around 45mpg, a bit more on a long trip.

The interior is a bit 1990's! But that doesn't matter, it's well put together, even if you can see where and how it has been put together. With leather steering wheel and gear knob, touchscreen sat nav, air con, cruise control, it has most of what you need inside. Loads of space for the family and luggage, and good soft, comfy seats.

We also looked at an Auris estate but really couldn't figure out why it was twice the price. A colleague with a Yeti is wishing he'd looked at a Logan as well! Overall the Logan is proving to be a really good, no nonsense car which does what we ask of it really well. When you consider the price, well under £10k, then it's incredible value!
