New Golf Match Edition now available

Volkswagen is launching a new Golf Match Edition replacing the current Golf Match. The new trim gets more equipment than before - around £1000 if chosen separately - but costs just £100 more.

Prices start at £19,840 for the Golf Match BlueMotion Edition three-door with a 1.0 TSI 115PS engine. With official emissions of 99g/km there's no annual road tax while official economy is 65.7mpg.

The standard Golf Match Edition starts at £20,400 for the 1.4 TSI with 125PS. It's also available with the 1.6 TDI 110PS engine from £21,405, or the 2.0 TDI with 150PS. The latter returns a claimed 68.9mpg with the standard six-speed manual gearbox but Real MPG users are only seeing 52.1mpg

New features for the Golf Match Edition include the Discover Navigation and the Winter Pack. This builds on the equipment of the old Golf Match model which had front and rear parking sensors, front fog lights and automatically folding door mirrors.

The Discover Navigation has a 6.5-inch touchscreen and has preloaded European mapping with dynamic navigation based on TMC live traffic reports. It also comes with Car-Net Guide which has functions such as online traffic information, personal points of interest, news and weather updates plus fuel and parking information.

The Golf Match Edition is available to order now with the first cars arriving in January 2016.
