Geneva Motor Show 2016: Citroen launches Rip Curl edition for C4 Cactus range

Citroen has unveiled a special edition version of the C4 Cactus, designed in collaboration with surf clothing manufacturer Rip Curl, at the Geneva Motor Show. The new version will go on sale in Spring 2016 and will likely cost from around £18,000.

Aside from a number surf-inspired styling touches, including exterior graphics and white roof bars, the C4 Cactus Rip Curl gets Grip Control, an electric system to improve traction on dirt tracks or in slippery conditions. This has four modes – normal, sand, snow and off-road.

Despite having off-road settings, the C4 Cactus is front-wheel drive only, though it does come with mud and snow tyres The C4 Cactus Rip Curl available with either a 110PS 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine or a 100PS BlueHDI diesel. Both are linked to a manual transmission as standard.

Buyers can choose between five exterior body colours – Tapenade Grey, Obsidian Black, Sport Red, Arctic Steel and Pearl White. Inside the C4 Cactus Rip Curl has orange seat belts and stitching, plus Rip Curl logos on the floor mats. It also features a panoramic glass roof, navigation, auto lights, auto wipers and a reversing camera.
