Geneva Motor Show 2015: Track-only Aston Martin Vulcan cleared for take off

Published 04 March 2015

Aston Martin has announced a new track-only supercar called the Vulcan. The new supercar was launched at the Geneva Motor Show and has been designed purely for track days, which means it’s not road legal. Just 24 will be made.

The aggressively styled Vulcan is powered by a 7.0-litre V12 engine with a peak output of more than 800PS. It uses a light but strong carbon-fibre monocoque construction, with advanced suspension, transmission and braking components. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission.

Buyers can customise the car ‘almost infinitely’ in terms of colour and trim. They will also be able to attend track events organised by Aston Martin to find the capability of their Vulcan.

There is no word on price – but we imagine the cost will be more or less irrelevant to the very select few customers who have the opportunity to by a Vulcan.
