Once again, Santa Pod Raceway in Bedfordshire are gearing up to host the greatest Japanese car show finale of the year; Japshow! No other Japanese car meet packs in the same heady mix of racing, show action and all round entertainment - and to round off this season, it's bigger and better than ever!
The Japshow Finale, on the 4th of October is the second of two such events at the Pod this year. Whether you're packing a savage Subaru, mental Mitsubishi - or have just nicked the keys to your Gran's Micra.. then you're going to love it!

Naturally, Run What You Brung (RWYB) is running all day, with the entire meet being exclusively Jap-only. After all, running wheel to wheel against a field of like-minded enthusiasts is the only real way to prove what you - and your car are really made of. Turning things up to '11' are the boys and girls running in the HKS drag series. This is the next step up from RWYB and takes things to the level of true drag racing with Japanese Cars. These drivers prove that at this level, consistency and preparation matter just as much as raw talent. In their 3rd year as series sponsors, Japanese tuning legends HKS themselves will be on hand to offer set-up and tuning advice, so there's no excuse for not running a blinding time! There's also a Jap-only 'Run What You Brung' day on Saturday the 3rd to really make sure you're in the mood.
Visitors who feel that their talents lie behind the wheel, may want to get themselves onto the handling circuit. The tight twists and turns here allow the smaller cars to shine against some of the bigger machinery - and it's not unheard of for a well driven Sunny to take down a big-BHP Skyline. Naturally, The Pod has also assembled the UK's best drifters on site to dazzle your eyes and offend your nostrils with their tyre smoking antics.
Those who like a little 'show' to complement all of this 'go' should get themselves over to the Show Car Paddock. No need to pre-register.. Simply line up, sign up.. And shine up! It's as easy as that! If your car looks the part, why not break out the Autoglym and join in?
Upon announcing this years event, Santa Pod's General Manager, David Lloyd Jones commented. 'We're all really looking forward to this year's Japshow. It's been a great season and to round it off we've got an even stronger line-up of race action with the HKS Drag Series and already, pre-sales to clubs and owners groups look extremely encouraging. It's going to be a great show.'
