Peugeot may have answer for large families

Tue, 02 Jun 2009
A new car being launched by Peugeot in the UK next year may appeal to motorists looking at buying a family car, it has been suggested.

The 5008 is due to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the manufacturer said it follows in the tyre tracks of other 5-series vehicles like the 504 and 505.

Commenting on the model's two predecessors, the company said both were popular and the latter set a benchmark when it came to large family cars.

Again, the 5008 is capable of accommodating seven people and also has room for luggage.

In addition to this, when the rear seats are not being used, they can be folded down to make the load area significantly bigger.

Meanwhile, second-row passengers can entertain themselves with a multimedia system.

In related motoring news, the manufacturer recently announced the GT100 limited edition versions of the new 308 CC have all been sold.
